By noon yesterday I really didn’t feel like eating. The idea of food sounded awful, but I didn’t feel badly, yet. I went and bought pagne with Megan, Diana, and Chloe. We went to the tailor and had them made into whatever. The man held up a beautiful green pagne and I immediately fell in love. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I wanted a high waisted skirt down to the floor. I can’t wait to get it back! I’m having him put pockets on the sides and three buttons in the back instead of a zipper.
By 3 O’clock, I felt like throwing up. I felt nauseated. Chris Rowell came up to me and asked if I was ok. By the time it took me to answer, I was in tears. I went to the clinic and put a cold cloth on my head. It took until 3:30, but then I threw up three times. I think I had a fever because I got really cold while trying to sleep. Amanda said I needed to drink more water. I hadn’t thrown up the previous water, so I drank a lot. Within five minutes I threw it all back up and I had no energy. I was seriously doubting how I was going to get up the hill and bike all the way home. Thankfully because I looked so pale, they had a driver take me home. (It was a really cool like 70’s- 80’s Land Cruiser, stick shift.)
I got home and just wanted to lay down. Laurentine made me rice, but I really didn’t feel like eating. Their solution to everything when sick is to eat more. I slept all night long. I was dreading the idea of going to school.
In the morning I took a bucket bath and by the end, again I had no energy. I called in sick and went back to bed. I felt awful. I slept until 12, and thankfully the only person that was home was Ava. I did a little studying at home to conjugate French verbs. I was loving the fact that I didn’t have to force feed myself, though. I could get out of her giving me seconds. I did eat some trail mix. It was really yummy. 🙂
My mom sent me an 18 pound package today. She said there was peanut butter in it, gluten free noodles, and a bike seat, thankfully. Stuff like that. I can’t wait for her to send me my iPod! By the end of the day I felt better. I missed all day’s worth of classes. Thankfully though, I didn’t miss language class. We have three French lessons tomorrow, though.
